37 students get cut of $100000 in scholarships from Gesa Credit Union – NBC Right Now

RICHLAND, Wash. – Gesa Credit Union announced on Wed., June 5 its 37 recipients of its yearly Scholarship Program in which $100,000 is being awarded to students across the Pacific Northwest.
Gesa said in a press release that over $1.1 million in scholarships have been awarded since 1986 to students with active student loans, new college students and higher education students.
“Our Scholarship Program is one of my personal favorite programs that we have at Gesa, as it is a true testament to our core values of supporting local students and education initiatives in the communities we serve,” said Community Relations Manager Amber Merrill. “It’s inspiring to hear each recipient’s story and how they plan to utilize the funds to further their education. We’re honored to support these students as the next generation of leaders and look forward to seeing all they accomplish.”
