About the Initiative
The State Science and Technology Policy Fellowship Initiative is part of The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Philadelphia and Scientific Advancement portfolio. This initiative supports the development and expansion of science policy fellowship programs in U.S. state legislatures, helping ensure that policymaking is informed by rigorous science and evidence.
Science policy fellows work directly with legislators and legislative staff to translate complex scientific research into actionable insights, contribute to policy analysis, draft briefing materials, and strengthen evidence-based decision-making. Through strategic grantmaking, Pew and its partners aim to help launch or expand fellowship programs in up to 20 states or territories.
