The Wilson Community College Foundation presented about $75,000 in scholarships to 150 students for the fall semester during its 26th annual awards ceremony Thursday.
This year, scholarship recipients and donors were able to chat with each other over a networking reception inside the college library.
The scholarships range from $100 to $2,500, and some students received more than one.
Jami Woods, WCC president, thanked donors for their generosity to make a difference in the lives of students.
“I also want to say to our students, congratulations for your hard work and dedication that brought you here, and take this wonderful gift from these gracious donors and do great things with it,” she said.
Woods also encouraged students to use their talents to build their futures in Wilson.
