Memphis high school grads receive scholarships to Rutgers University – Action News 5

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Some bright Memphis high school graduates won full scholarships on Wednesday to attend college 1,000 miles from home.
A crowd gathered inside the Ernest Withers Gallery on Beale Street in Downtown Memphis to celebrate the latest scholars who signed up for the “Memphis Pipeline Project,” an innovative program by Rutgers University at the Camden, New Jersey, campus.
The Chancellor of Rutgers, Memphis native Chancellor Antonio D. Tillis, created this outstanding student recruiting program for bright young people deserving of full scholarships.
“Just a win-win for all of us,” Tillis said.
Rutgers University in Camden started the Memphis Pipeline Project in 2022 and provides scholars with academic support, hands-on learning experiences, and internship opportunities in Memphis each summer.
