Missouri State Fair and Youth in Agriculture Committee Award 62 Scholarships to Missouri Youth
Jason Moore, Missouri State Fair director, has announced that 62 Missouri youth will receive scholarships funded by the Missouri State Fair and the Youth in Agriculture (YIA) committee. These recipients were selected from 4-H and FFA exhibitors at the Missouri State Fair and will be recognized on April 24, 2025, during the State FFA Convention in Columbia.
The selection process evaluated applicants on their Missouri State Fair participation, grade point average, community involvement, and leadership roles. Since 1992, the Youth in Agriculture committee has awarded 941 scholarships totaling $1,190,250.
Scholarships are made possible through contributions from Youth in Agriculture sponsors and proceeds from livestock sales during the annual Sale of Champions. A portion of each animal’s sale value is allocated to the scholarship program.
