Ogilvy is seeking the next generation of creative and business talent. These 10-week paid summer internships program offer hands-on experience working with live client briefs, contributing to campaigns that make cultural impact, and collaborating with award-winning teams. Interns gain mentorship, exposure to diverse brands, and real-world skills that strengthen portfolios and resumes.
Internship Tracks
Ogilvy offers placements across both Creative Craft and Business & Strategy roles. Applicants must choose the track that best fits their skills and interests.
Creative Craft Internships
- Art Director
- Conceptualize ideas and translate them into impactful visual solutions.
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, animators, and producers.
- Portfolio required: show creative process and unique point of view.
- Copywriter
- Write across formats: headlines, taglines, social posts, video scripts, manifestos.
- Strong writing habits and ability to adapt tone across categories.
- Portfolio required: demonstrate conceptual thinking and executional craft.
- Designer
- Explore design principles, motion, 2D/3D, and visual trends.
- Support design team with visuals and scrap collection.
- Portfolio required: highlight problem-solving through design.
- Integrated Production
- Shadow producers and learn how departments collaborate for production.
- Support tasks such as timelines, completion reports, and client liaison.
- Portfolio required: demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness.

- Note: Creative internships require a portfolio submission. Business internships do not.
Responsibilities
Across all tracks, interns will:
- Contribute to live projects and fast-moving campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Learn to adapt to agency deadlines and client needs.
- Gain exposure to Ogilvy’s culture of Borderless Creativity.
Eligibility
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Current undergraduate juniors preferred (Business track).
- Current & future U.S. work authorization required.
- Must live within commutable distance of chosen office (New York or Chicago).
