Schreiner University student Trista Miller has been awarded $3,500 from the Council of Independent Colleges UPS Foundation Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Schreiner University student Trista Miller has been awarded $3,500 from the Council of Independent Colleges UPS Foundation Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Schreiner University student Trista Miller has been awarded $3,500 from the Council of Independent Colleges UPS Foundation Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Miller is a senior student from Castroville majoring in nursing.
In order to receive the scholarship, Miller created a 28-page story book delving into Schreiner University’s history.
The scholarship was available to full- time undergraduate students demon- strating a financial need.
The awards are arranged through the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas Foundation, which supports Texas independent nonprofit colleges and universities by strengthening member institutions through advocacy, policy research and collaboration.
More than $50 million has been awarded in scholarship grants to State Fund Members for the benefit of more than 18,000 students at independent colleges across the country.
