The Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) – Dal News

Update – Internal Expression of Interest Deadline moved from April 22 to April 24

Funded by Global Affairs Canada, BCDI 2030 aims to foster the social and economic development of people, particularly women, from eligible Francophonie and Commonwealth countries, as well as other Small Island Developing States.
This program offers participants high-quality, inclusive education and training opportunities, including technical and professional training, to address inequality, bettering their lives and their communities. The program focuses on several key areas, including STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), Artificial Intelligence, green and blue economies, climate action, health sciences, and governance and administration.
Each university can submit one proposal for a scholarship project, in partnership with a higher education institution in one of the 26 eligible countries. Study projects in Canada are for a maximum of four years and must be implemented between 2025 and 2029.
Depending on the outcomes of this call, this could be the final opportunity for post-secondary institutions to submit applications for scholarship projects.
Because of the limit on applications, there will be an internal EOI process. The EOI must list the partner country and institution and include a one-page summary of the proposed project. EOIs must be submitted to ird@dal.ca by April 22, 2024.
Please consult the following resources for more details:
The Universities Canada and Colleges and Institutes Canada consortium will host webinars for representatives of Canadian post-secondary institutions to present the program and answer questions about the call for proposals.
