WVU student continue his volunteer work with the help of a private scholarship – WDTV


MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – A West Virginia University student is continuing his community service work with the help of a private scholarship.
Izaak Whetsell an Elkins native received the Andrew S. Good scholarship for one hundred-thousand dollars for his work in serving his community.
He said that one that he does the most community service is for the Appalachia Prisons Book Project.
“I have helped out with some of the career fairs that have and as well as a couple of the used book fairs that we have on campus,” said Izaak Whetsell. “The one that I have done the most of is the Appalachia prisons book project which is a non-profit organization that sends books to prisoners.”
He adds that receiving this scholarship means a lot to him and the work he does for the community.
