HR&A Advisors is seeking full-time Summer Analysts to join our team for a 10-week paid internship during Summer 2026. This opportunity is designed for students with a strong interest in urban development, public policy, and real estate, who are eager to contribute to data-driven projects that shape cities and improve quality of life.
Summer Analysts are a core part of HR&A’s collaborative, team-oriented structure and will work closely with staff across disciplines on real client projects.
The Role
Summer Analysts will be based in one of HR&A’s offices in Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, or Washington, DC, and are expected to work in-office at least three days per week.
Responsibilities may include:
- Market analysis
- Case study and policy research
- Econometric and quantitative modeling
- Spatial analysis
- Real estate pro forma development
- Public policy analysis
- Preparation of written reports, presentations, and Excel models
- Support for proposals and business development materials
Tasks and responsibilities will vary by project and client.
About You
You are curious about cities and motivated by impact. You bring strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and creativity, and enjoy working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You are excited to engage deeply with real-world urban challenges on behalf of diverse clients.
Eligibility and Experience Required
Candidates must be:
- Bachelor’s students graduating in 2027 (between junior and senior year)
- Master’s students graduating in 2027 (between first and second year or continuing their program)
- Students graduating in December 2026 are also eligible
Preferred fields of study include:
- Urban planning
- Real estate development or finance
- Economic development
- Public policy
- Housing finance
- Sustainability
- Related disciplines
Timeline

- Internship period: June 1 – August 7, 2026
- Start and end dates are flexible based on candidate availability
Compensation
- Monthly stipend: USD 6,000
