Investing in Small Businesses, Strengthening Communities
Small businesses are essential to thriving local economies—and when they have the resources to grow, entire communities benefit. The Amex Shop Small Grants Program is designed to provide that support by investing directly in entrepreneurs who are ready to turn ideas into impact.
In partnership with American Express, Main Street America will award more than 500 grants of $20,000, delivering over $10 million in funding to small businesses across the country. These grants support projects that help businesses innovate, expand, and deepen their connection to the communities they serve.
From Planning to Progress
Grant recipients are encouraged to submit projects that are ready to launch. With a six-month grant period, businesses have the opportunity to implement meaningful improvements—whether that includes upgrading operations, enhancing customer experiences, or investing in long-term sustainability.
