Work Structure and Responsibilities

The Research Analyst works under the supervision of the Senior Director of Fundraising Operations and supports various fundraising units across CARE. Key responsibilities include:

Prospect Research & Fundraiser Support

  • Conduct research on wealthy individuals, focusing primarily on Principal and Major Gifts prospects, but also supporting Mid-Level prospects, Planned Giving, Corporations, and Foundations.
  • Evaluate data to determine prospects’ financial capacity, giving propensity, philanthropic interests, and connections to CARE.
  • Prepare donor and prospect briefings for development teams and senior leadership.
  • Conduct corporate diligence and risk assessments for CARE offices that lack internal risk assessment tools.
  • Respond to fundraiser research requests promptly.
  • Assist the Senior Research Analyst with daily gift log reviews to identify donors who may be ready to move into different fundraising channels.

Data Entry and Integrity

  • Enter research findings into CARE’s CRM systems.
  • Ensure all data entry follows established operational procedures for accuracy and consistency.

Special Projects

  • Provide support to other research staff during peak workloads.
  • Participate in special assignments as directed by the Senior Director of Fundraising Operations.
