1. Ocean Research Assistant
Location: Global (within EJF network)
Role Type: Research / Investigations
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ocean Research Assistant to support our work documenting and combating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing. This role involves assisting investigations into environmental crimes and human rights abuses across global industrial fishing fleets.
You will contribute to reports, briefings, and alerts that influence governments and international bodies—helping to protect marine ecosystems and hold abusive actors accountable.

2. Global Advocacy Lead – Fisheries Transparency
Role Type: Senior / Policy Advocacy
We are looking for an experienced and results-focused Global Advocacy Lead to champion transparency and accountability in global fisheries governance. Working alongside key partners such as Oceana and Global Fishing Watch, the successful candidate will help lead the Coalition of Fisheries Transparency and support international endorsement and implementation of the Global Charter for Fisheries Transparency.

3. Production Assistant
Role Type: Entry-Level / Creative
A fantastic opportunity for aspiring creatives and communicators, the Production Assistant will support EJF’s Film Unit in crafting compelling visual content that strengthens our campaigns. You will assist with research, editing, and coordinating film projects while gaining hands-on experience in documentary filmmaking and digital storytelling.

4. Research and Advocacy Officer – Climate & Oceans

In this pivotal role, the Research and Advocacy Officer will advance EJF’s campaigns on Deep Sea Mining (DSM) and broader oceans and climate policy. Responsibilities include producing high-quality research, developing impactful policy recommendations, and engaging directly with decision-makers and industry stakeholders.

5. Campaign Manager – Climate & Oceans
Role Type: Senior / Strategic Leadership
