INTRODUCTION

The DAAD/NELGA Short-Stay Research Fellowship is a program offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in collaboration with the Network of Excellence for Land Governance in Africa (NELGA). ELIGIBILITY

• Applicants must be affiliated with a university or research institution in Africa.

• The fellowship is primarily targeted at postdoctoral researchers and faculty members.

Research Topics:

• The fellowship supports research projects related to land governance, land management, and related areas such as land tenure, land use planning, land policy, and sustainable land management.

FUNDING / GRANTS

• Fellows receive a monthly stipend of EUR 460 to cover living expenses in Germany.
• Travel expenses (round trip) are covered – EUR 280 for in-country, EUR 430 for neighbouring countries, EUR 630 for in-region, EUR 980 for out of region;
• Health insurance and accident/personal liability insurance are also provided.
