This 6-month programme provides comprehensive support for people from refugee backgrounds living in Greater London, aiming to help you start your own food business.
What is Food Power?
Food Power is a unique incubator programme designed to help refugees and those from a refugee background navigate the UK food industry. Offering expert workshops, hands-on sessions, and coaching, Food Power supports entrepreneurs in developing their food businesses, from initial ideas to real-world execution.
What the Programme Offers:
- In-person & Online Workshops: Industry insights, marketing tips, food compliance info, and more.
- Practical Sessions: Work in a professional kitchen, refining your best-selling dish.
- 1-1 Coaching: Personalized support and advice to help you bring your idea to life.
- Two Public Events: Serve your dish at a real street food market and showcase your business.
Eligibility:
- Refugees or those with a refugee background living in Greater London.
- You should have a food business idea, at least 1-2 tested dishes, some experience in hospitality, and a love for cooking!
What Will You Learn?
- Business and branding workshops to refine your food business idea.
- 1-1 coaching sessions to develop your business plan.
- Practical sessions in a professional kitchen to perfect your recipes.
- Support with registration, safety compliance, and discounted training on food business qualifications.
- The chance to pitch for startup funding to KERB+ and McCain teams after completing the programme.
