About the Fellowship
The GFA Fellowship is a two-year, full-time, paid placement designed for recent graduates eager to begin a career in public service. Fellows work in state and local government agencies across the United States, taking on meaningful responsibilities that shape policy, strengthen public systems, and impact millions of lives.
This program is direct-apply, meaning there are no nominations, partner school quotas, or recommendation-based selections.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the 2026 cohort, applicants must:
- Be authorized to work in the United States for two years (GFA does not sponsor visas).
- Have completed or be on track to complete an undergraduate degree by June 2026.
- Be available to attend the in-person Summer Institute from June 24 to July 2, 2026.
- Demonstrate commitment to public service and interest in building a long-term government career.
- Be willing to serve in high-need placements across the country. Current partner locations include:

- Missouri
- Pennsylvania
