Twenty-one teams participated in the annual Edwards County Farm Bureau Young Leaders Scholarship Trap Shoot on March 1, 2025. The event successfully raised over $3,500 for the Young Leader scholarship fund. “One hundred percent of the funds raised at the trap shoot go into our scholarship fund,” stated Ragan Anthis, chairman of the Edwards County Farm Bureau Young Leaders. “We are extremely grateful to our sponsors, the shooters, and the Edwards County Sportsman’s Club for making this event a success.”
Sponsors for the 2025 event included Albion Equipment, Wabash Valley Service Company, Steve Thomson-COUNTRY Financial, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Anthis Equipment, Pioneer-Shepherd Ag Solutions, Greathouse Grazing Acres, Kelli Savage-COUNTRY Financial, FBFM, Metcalf Custom Applicating, Consolidated Grain & Barge, and Remington Seeds.
The winners of the 2025 Scholarship Trap Shoot are as follows:
First Place Overall & Best Score for a Team of Shooters Under 18: Braden Landreth, Austin Kuenster, Lane Kuenster, Gavin Kuenster, and Cash Herdes.
Second Place: Chad Kuenster, Austin Kuenster, Gavin Kuenster, Lane Kuenster, and Brad Kuenster.
Third Place: Steve Byrns, Derek Mason, Marvin Fewkes, Stan Mason, and Donnie Perkins.
First Place Random Draw Team: David Campbell, Tom Tepool, Brad Kuenster, Lane Kuenster, and Jacob Paul.
Second Place Random Draw Team: Larry Jones, Daniel Lewis, Lee Lewis, Steve Paul, and Brendan Landreth.
