BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Get out on the green and test your skills at this golf tournament to support the Hispanic Forum of BCS.
Public Relations Officer Jaime Cavazos says this event is to raise money for scholarship they give to local students, as well as to have a good time with community members. Last year, the organization was able to give out $188,000 in scholarships because of support.
Cavazos says players can expect music and hopefully good weather, and that the game is open to competitors of all levels.
“I think this tournament is about having fun, there’s a lot of people that this is probably their first tournament,” Cavazos said. “So you find a lot of different levels of golf players in our tournament.”
OK. Yeah, I’m not the best, but it’s still fun to watch.”
Registration is open now, and it’s happening Saturday, April 12 at the Phillips Event Center.
