Position 1: Policy Associate — J-PAL Global
Location: Cambridge, MA, USA

Commitment: 3+ years

About the Role:
The Policy Associate will support J-PAL’s mission by transforming cutting-edge economic research into accessible insights for policymakers worldwide. Openings currently exist in the Agriculture, Health, and AI for Social Good sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate rigorous research into policy insights through publications, briefs, blogs, and presentations.
- Deepen sectoral expertise and support evidence-informed decision-making.
- Coordinate research fund processes and partnerships.
- Contribute to internal learning, DEI efforts, recruitment, and global collaboration.
Who Should Apply:
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), strong economics and econometrics training, and 2+ years of experience in research, policy, or development work. Strong writing, organization, analytical thinking, and cultural competence are essential.
Position 2: Senior Policy Associate — Education
Location: Cambridge, MA, USA

Commitment: 3+ years

About the Role:
The Senior Policy Associate will lead and contribute to policy translation, sector engagement, and evidence-driven initiatives, with current openings in the Education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and produce high-quality publications translating research into actionable insights.
- Manage sector projects, support research fund cycles, and coordinate with researchers.
- Present at international events and engage directly with policymakers.
- Strengthen internal systems, DEI initiatives, cross-regional coordination, and staff training.
Who Should Apply:
Candidates with 4+ years of experience, strong economics and econometrics training, exceptional writing and communication skills, and demonstrated interest in education, public policy, or international development.
