Thirteen more members of the Class of 2024 in Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) have earned National Merit Scholarships. The latest awards, which are financed by U.S. colleges and universities, provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study. Another group of students will be announced in mid-July, bringing the total number of college-sponsored Merit Scholarship recipients to over 3,600. Congratulations to our students!
These winners are part of the distinguished group of nearly 7,000 high school graduates who will receive National Merit Scholarships for college undergraduate study worth about $26 million. Earlier this spring, the National Merit Scholarship Corp. announced the recipients of corporate-sponsored awards and National Merit $2,500 Scholarships.
