TAUNTON — The SouthCoast Community Foundation is set to award over 100 local scholarships, totaling more than $800,000, in 2025, according to a press release.
The application process is straightforward, requiring just one online submission without the need for a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid). Once submitted, applicants are automatically matched with all eligible scholarship opportunities. The deadline for applications is Jan. 21, 2025.
The foundation is also hosting a scholarship information session from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14, where prospective applicants can have their questions answered about the process.
Additionally, the foundation is seeking volunteer scholarship application readers for 2025. This role can be performed from home at convenient times. Interested individuals can contact Adrianna Heard at 508-996-8253 ext. 214 or aheard@southcoastcf.org for more information.
Most of the scholarships are accessible through the foundation’s online scholarship portal. The Universal Application, available from Nov. 1, 2024, to Jan. 21, 2025, automatically pairs eligible students with available scholarships. Some scholarships may require separate applications, which can also be found on the online portal.
