Seven 2025 graduates qualified for the scholarship money by attending the event in person.
FLINT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) –Â Families and car lovers came together Saturday for Culver’s annual Family and Friends Day in Flint Township.
The event ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Miller Road Culver’s location, featuring food, entertainment, and activities for all ages.
Kids 18 and under enjoyed free haircuts, while everyone savored free ice cream throughout the day.
Car lovers were treated to a showcase of classic vehicles from the Culver’s Car Club.
But the highlight of the day was the scholarship giveaway, awarding several 2025 high school graduates with financial support to help with their education.
“I’m very grateful for this $500 scholarship because college is not cheap, so anything would help,” said scholarship recipient Courtni Johnson. “This $500 could help me pay for my books, for my classes, and it could go to food.”
A total of $17,000 in scholarships was awarded to seven students who qualified by attending the event in person.
