LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Nineteen seniors from Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) were honored with a 2025 Vogt Educational & Leadership Scholarship on Monday.
The scholarship recognizes students for their academic achievements and leadership in and out of the classroom, according to JCPS officials.
Each student received $12,000 as part of the scholarship to help with college expenses.
“Congratulations to these exceptional JCPS students,” Superintendent Marty Pollio said at a luncheon recognizing the students. “We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments, and we know they will continue to inspire and lead wherever their journeys take them.”
The 2025 Vogt Educational & Leadership Scholarship recipients are:
Student winners were selected based on SAT/ACT scores and cumulative GPAs, as well as demonstrated community and campus leadership, participation in extracurricular activities, and recommendations from principals and community leaders.
The scholarship is named after Henry V. Heuser Sr., who died in 1999, and established the endowed scholarship fund to recognize remarkable JCPS high school seniors.
