An endowment fund, that will reach $500,000 after five years, is being created within the North Branch School District thanks to the generosity of a 1958 North Branch graduate and valedictorian.
During the North Branch School Board meeting Thursday, June 12, Superintendent Sara Paul announced that Max Malmquist will be creating an endowment fund that will benefit students with an initial deposit of $100,000 to be set up and leveraged beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. The next four years, Malmquist will add an additional $100,000 each year to the endowment fund, for a total of $500,000.
