DETROIT LAKES — On Thursday, May 16, two senior Detroit Lakes High School golfers, Sydney Miller and Tyler Stensgard, each received a $2,500 Growth of the Game Scholarship sponsored by State Farm Insurance – Nick Christenson Agency.
The senior golfers were selected based on their commitment to the game of golf and their representation of the values and habits that have been adopted by Growth of the Game.

The values are: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance and courtesy. The habits are: energy, play, safety, vision, mind and family. These two individuals represent those qualities to a very high degree.
Miller will is attending Mary University in the fall, majoring in business and be a member of the women’s golf team. Stensgard will be attending NDSU, majoring in business and finance.
