A student from nearly ever high school in Surrey has been shortlisted for a $100,000 scholarship prize.
The Schulich Leader Scholarships are awarded to students who show a passion for STEM or science, technology, engineering and math. From Surrey’s public schools, 20 students have been shortlisted for the prize worth between $100,000 to $120,000.

This would not be the first year that Surrey students would be chosen for the six-figure scholarship, as 11 have been won the Schulich prize since 2017.
From the 1,500 shortlisted nominess, 100 students will be chosen later this school year, with half to receive $120,000 for engineering and $100,000 for the other half for science and math.
