In January, over 200 faculty, staff, donors, and students and their families gathered to honor scholarship and fellowship recipients and supporters at the 2025 School of Education Scholarship Celebration.
“Scholarships have a tremendous impact on recruiting and sustaining our students on their journeys to becoming teachers, professors, policy-makers, community leaders, and more,” said Fernando Rosario-Ortiz, interim dean. “We’re proud of scholarship recipients and our donors’ generous gifts who open new possibilities for so many scholarship recipients.”
The event celebrated the School of Education’s donors, students, newly launched scholarships, and marked growth in scholarship support over the years. In 1993, the school awarded five scholarships totaling $2,500 to five students, and this year the school awarded 64 students with scholarships totaling more than $330,000 students.
