$2M gift funds scholarships at University of Arizona – KVOA

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The University of Arizona has received a $2 million donation from a generous alumnus.
The funds will create scholarship endowments at the College of Science and College of Veterinary Medicine. These scholarships will support students pursuing careers as math teachers and those entering nonprofit veterinary clinics.
John Brown, the donor, earned his master’s degree in mathematics in 1969.
This gift is part of the university’s $3 billion fundraising campaign. The campaign aims to address teacher shortages and ease financial burdens for veterinary students.
