BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — Three Baldwin County High School student-athletes signed scholarships to play college soccer, according to a press release from the City of Bay Minette.

Chloe Burford and Sami McMahill have signed with the University of Mobile to play with the Lady Rams, and Brooke Jones will play with the Huntingdon College Hawks.
Baldwin County High School Soccer Coach Matt Beckett said he was “triply honored” to recognize the athletes, noting that the girls played different, “but vital,” positions on the team.
According to the release, Jones, who serves as co-captain, plays defense and “was a big part of the team having 12 defensive shutouts so far this season.”
Burford is also a co-captain, and plays center midfield. “Though injured, she continued to cheer on her teammates from the sidelines,” the release stated.
McMahill has played striker and has reportedly been a key scorer for the team.

The BCHS Lady Tigers are currently 12-5-2 for the season and are ranked No. 8 in the state.
