Meridian, MS

Thirty-two of Mississippi’s top high school senior girls will compete for more than $36,000 in scholarships during the 2026 Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi Program, held July 17–19 at Evangel Temple in Meridian.
The event honors scholastic achievement, leadership, and talent through a three-day competition evaluating participants in five key areas: scholastics, fitness, self-expression, talent, and interview.
The winner will go on to represent Mississippi at the national finals, with past state winners like Grace Ann Courtney of Stone County earning significant accolades and scholarships.
In addition to rehearsals and nightly performances, contestants will enjoy a full schedule of community activities, including a scavenger hunt at The MAX, service projects, and themed social events with host families.
The public is invited to an Autograph Party on July 15 at Belle G’s in downtown Meridian to meet the participants.
To purchase tickets, visit www.purplepass.com/dywofms26 or by calling 601-480-3438. Proceeds support the program’s mission of empowering young women through education, confidence-building, and leadership development.
