As semifinalists, these academically talented seniors represent less than one percent of high school seniors nationwide
North Penn High School is celebrating 40 students who earned honors in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program, including 10 semifinalists and 30 commended students.
According to a news release, the following 10 students were named semifinalists and will advance in the competition for nearly 7,000 National Merit Scholarships worth $26 million: Rajnandini Biswas, Max Brodsky, Charles Hawthorne, Sherri Learn, Brody MacGregor, Alexander Muto, Namit Parikh, Tanmay Pulicherla, Ridhi Revalli and Jiya Shah.
As semifinalists, these academically talented seniors represent less than one percent of high school seniors nationwide. They were selected from a pool of about 1.3 million students who took the PSAT/NMSQT exam. Finalists will be announced beginning in April 2026, with scholarships awarded through the summer months.
An additional 30 students at North Penn High School were named commended students in the program. They are: Violet Anderson, Mira Anugonda, Dev Bhesania, Isaac Cheng, Ethan Fox, Jiya Jaiswal, Aaryan Jami, Huiju Jeon, Grace Jiao, Maria Jimenez-Palacios, Shivam Joshi-Awasthi, Priyal Kalola, Eliana Kim, Amogh Kollipara, Anvitha Madaka, Manav Malik, Audrey Nash, Benjamin Park, Vansh Patel, Havisha Polamreddy, Madlen Potrusilova, Ronak Reddy, Ava Shim, Adah Strake, Ethan Strake, Shreya Sulgham, Yash Verma, Andrew Wang, Nathan Yan and Angelina Yang.
About 34,000 students nationwide are recognized as commended students, placing among the top 50,000 scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT. Although they do not advance in the competition, the honor reflects exceptional academic promise.
