5 more Broward County Public Schools students win National Merit Scholarships
BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — Broward County Public Schools has announced five more winners of this year’s prestigious National Merit Scholarships.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the final group of 2025 National Merit Scholarship winners this week.
These students are among nearly 800 new recipients nationwide of college-sponsored awards, joining more than 2,900 others who were announced in June.
“We are incredibly proud of these students and all our National Merit Scholars for their academic excellence, hard work and dedication,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn.
The winners represent the finalists in each state who demonstrated the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential for success in challenging college coursework. These scholarships can be used at any regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
Corporate-sponsored scholarships are offered to finalists who meet the specific criteria of the sponsoring organization.
From an initial pool of semifinalists, more than 15,000 students met the rigorous academic standards and other requirements to advance to the final state.
Congratulations!
