The Soaring Eagles 5K Walk / Run held Saturday at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre helped raise funds for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Brian H Swatt Memorial Eagle Scout Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to two local Eagle Scouts in recognition of their great achievement, and to help them reach even greater heights. The scholarship is named for Brian Swatt, a Class of 2017 Eagle and model Scout / citizen.
