The Rays of Hope Foundation will host their first scholarship fundraising event, the 5K Stride for Scholarships Fun Run, on Saturday, May 17, at Depot Park in Gainesville.
The event will start at 9:30 a.m. at 874 SE 4th St. and is open to all ages. A $35 registration will include the participant’s event t-shirt and racing bib. Interested participants can register for the race by clicking here.
The event will raise funds directly for the Rays of Hope Foundation Vocational Scholarship fund. The Rays of Hope Foundation Vocational Scholarships are awarded at the end of each academic year to graduating high school students seeking immediate vocational education in a recognized career or technical program.
Mainstreet does not have a paywall, but pavement-pounding journalism is not free. Join your neighbors who make this vital work possible.
The Rays of Hope Foundation was founded by the Radiant Credit Union.
