COLUMBUS, Ind. – Six Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) high school seniors were recognized at last week’s 28th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast, organized by the African American Pastors Alliance. The event was held on MLK Day, Monday, January 20.
Each recipient was awarded a $1,000 MLK Scholarship, with matching funds from Ivy Tech Community College and IU Columbus, plus an additional $1,500 scholarship from the African American Foundation for their sophomore year.
Together, these awards could total $4,500 per student.
The BCSC scholarship recipients were celebrated for their academic achievements, community involvement, and extracurricular leadership.
