GRANTS PASS, Ore. – The Redwood Foundation for Education is set to award more than $700,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Josephine County, Rogue River, and Glendale this month. According to the foundation, these scholarships are matched to over 200 different opportunities administered annually.
One significant scholarship is the Josephine County Home Builders Association Scholarship, valued at $2,500 per year and renewable for up to four years. This scholarship supports students planning to enter the trades.
“We are proud to support the next generation of leaders through these local scholarship awards,” said Quin Collins Pehrson, Executive Director. “Investing in their education is an investment in a brighter, stronger future for us all.”
In 2025, the foundation expects to provide more than $1.5 million in grants and scholarships to support education from early childhood through post-secondary transitions.
The foundation’s efforts are funded by donations from individuals, businesses, and service organizations, managing a growing corpus of $12 million. Over the past 40 years, it has invested more than $11.5 million into the community.
