On June 10th, the POB Chamber of Commerce was delighted to present three scholarships to deserving students during POB JFK High School’s annual awards night. These students earned their awards by writing an outstanding essay on two different topics established by the chamber.
Lily Taylor received the chamber’s $1,000 scholarship for “What Plainview-Old Bethpage Means to Me” and Maya Kunis and Leo Stearn each received a $500 award related to a local business idea. These two scholarships are awarded each year in memory of former board member Marcia Finkelstein.
Congratulations to these deserving college-bound seniors!
