PORTSMOUTH — Federal benefits marketplace operator FedPoint announced the sponsorship and award of 52 $1,000 merit scholarships through the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) Scholarship Program, which supports the educational goals of federal employees and their families. FedPoint has partnered with FEEA since 2007.
For almost two decades, FedPoint has provided support to several of FEEA’s programs—including its annual scholarship program, its online tutoring program, the FEDLifeHacks program, and the annual Feds in Motion Challenge wellness event—committing more than $750,000 over that span.
FEEA’s mission is to empower federal and postal employees and their families to achieve their educational, financial, and career goals as they serve the American people. Based in Alexandria, VA, FEEA also provides the federal family with emergency hardship loans, disaster relief grants, online tutoring, and more all across the United States and to almost every federal department and agency.
FEEA awarded 237 scholarships in 2024, representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The recipients stood out from a field of more than 2,300 applicants and were chosen for their outstanding academic achievements and community engagement. While the scholarship is open to eligible federal employees themselves as well as their spouses, children, and grandchildren, the majority of the recipients are children of federal employees.
