In August 2024, Grace Lutheran Church in Phoenix distributed its first scholarships through the newly established Grace and Grand Canyon Synod Scholarship Fund. This fund, launched in 2023 as a legacy gift to future generations, aims to fully support those pursuing higher education, professional growth, or career development to provide for themselves and their families.
Scholarships from this fund serve as an affirmation of each recipient’s aspirations, offering both financial support and a vote of confidence to engage fully in their educational journeys.
Did You Know?
A $600 gift can cover:
One credit hour at a university,
Two courses at a community college,
A GED, or
A CLS license.
Many faith-based universities offer matching funds, doubling the impact of your contribution. College graduates statistically enjoy longer, healthier lives and are more likely to engage in community service and leadership roles.
From the First Recipients
“This scholarship has allowed me to find a place where I belong.”
“It means the world to me, seeing the community that raised me invest in my education.”
“This scholarship is more than financial support. It represents my hard work and dedication, alleviating financial burdens so I can focus on my studies and extracurriculars. It not only helps me achieve my goals but inspires me to give back to my community.”
