Area students have been awarded Health Professional Scholarships through the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota Caring Foundation.
Receiving $2,500 scholarships are Mikayla Bell, social work, Minot State University; Shae Sherrod, nursing, Williston State College; Shelby Ducheneaux, social work, Cankdeska Cikana Community College; Skye Witmer, nursing, Dakota College at Bottineau.
The foundation awarded $2,500 scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year to 30 recipients from across the state. The foundation also awarded this year’s $5,000 Healthcare Leader scholarship to Amanda Akers, a graduate student in nursing attending North Dakota State University in Fargo.
