Wilson’s Student Financial Services Center has updated its Outside Scholarships Database available on the my.wilson portal with eight new scholarship opportunities, increasing the potential funds accessible to students by $92,000 this week. The initiative, known as Free Money Friday, aims to aid students in identifying and applying for various financial supports.
Highlighted among the newly listed scholarships are:

  • Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship: Offering $40,000, this scholarship targets students pursuing engineering and computer science disciplines. Details can be found here.
  • Point Foundation Flagship Scholarship: With a grant of $12,000, this scholarship supports members of the LGBTQ+ community. Additional information is available here.
  • Hunter Hogan Foundation Rodeo Scholarship: This $1,000 scholarship is designed for equestrian students participating in rodeo sports. For more details, visit here.

Carl graduated from Northwood High School in Silver Spring, MD. He retired from C & P Telephone Company after working there as a PBX Installer for 29 years.
Born Wednesday, March 21, 1945, Robert enjoyed pitching horseshoes, watching wrestling, old westerns, and sports, especially Penn State Football.
Peggy enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and trips to the beach. Above all else, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. 
John enjoyed golfing, shooting pool, bowling, playing baseball and softball, collecting coins, and playing card games.
