A pair of students from area high schools were recently presented with 2024 Rudd Foundation Scholarships, with Rose Hill High School’s Keegan Taylor and Mulvane High School’s Abigail Malanchuk among this year’s recipients. Rudd Foundation scholarships – which recognize students’ hard work, grit, determination and character – provide up to $100,000 for college tuition, room and board, books, supples and more.
Taylor earned the full $100,000 scholarship and is the third RHHS senior to receive the scholarship in the past four years. He will be attending Kansas State University and is planning to major in industrial engineering. He has maintained a 4.0 GPA through his high school career while also being actively involved in National Honor Society, football and band.
Malanchuk is the first MHS student to be recognized by the Rudd Foundation, earning an $80,000 scholarship. She plans to attend Fort Hays State University and major in nursing. During high school, she has been involved in National Honor Society, cheer and soccer.
