The Onslow Memorial Hospital and Coastal Carolina Community College are hosting the first official Signing Day for Coastal students who were accepted into OMH's Nursing Scholarship Program on Friday, July 11. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. in the Bodemhamer Auditorium, Fine Arts Building on Coastal's campus.
A release from Onslow Memorial Hospital said the following:
In early April, OMH and Coastal announced this groundbreaking scholarship opportunity. This scholarship offers full financial support to eligible nursing students pursuing their Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) at Coastal. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition, books, and mandatory fees, and provides a $500 monthly stipend to support students throughout the program.
“We are excited to finally reach Signing Day- it’s been a long time in the making said Taylor Flowers, Senior Vice President, Human Resources. “This program not only supports our future nurses, but represents a powerful step forward for the future of healthcare in Onslow County, and this is just the beginning. We envision expanding our collaboration with Coastal into other programs in the years to come.”
