Seven local students were recently awarded scholarships from area organizations.
Cape Central High School graduate Caitlin Hill was awarded the P.E.O. STAR scholarship by local P.E.O. Chapter BI worth $2,500. Hill will begin pursuing a double major in creative writing and studio art with a minor in theatre at Truman State University this fall.
The Jackson Knights of Columbus also recently presented scholarships to six local graduates. Those receiving the award are: Madalyn Schemel, Oak Ridge High School; Louis Gozales, Jackson High School; Kolby Grimes, Notre Dame Regional High School; Sunshine Koehler, Jackson; Evan Henson, Notre Dame; and Faith Dreyer, Saxony Lutheran High School.
