Bemidji’s P.E.O. Chapter AT recently awarded two scholarships to non-traditional students who are attending Bemidji State University.
Scholarship recipient Kristen Cox is studying social work. Her focus is to work with incarcerated individuals on their transition to life outside of the justice system.

The other scholarship recipient is Tammeka Green, who is studying business administration with an emphasis in business analytics and information systems.
“Both women have high ambitions and are well worthy of our local scholarships,” Chapter AT said in the release. “We motivate, educate and celebrate these women to reach lofty goals.”
P.E.O. is an international organization that has given more than $4 million in grants, scholarships, loans and more to women over the past 150 years. Chapter AT gives local scholarships each year.
Chapter AT also elected new officers for 2025-26 during its recent meeting.
Connie Jacobson and Sue Cuperus are joint treasurers, Marcia Syverson is guard, Claire Buhn is assistant guard, Kathy Burger is recording secretary, Diane Sizer is chaplain, Miriam White is vice president and JeriAnn Booth is president.
