Ohatchee, AL – Ohatchee native Magen Brown has been named one of 100 recipients of the 2025–26 Alfa Foundation Scholarship Program. Brown, a freshman at Auburn University, received $1,000 to apply toward tuition, fees, books, or supplies.
Since its launch in 2014, the Alfa Foundation has awarded $1,150,000 in scholarships to deserving students through the program, which is administered by Kaleidoscope. This year’s recipients represent 44 Alabama counties and will attend 22 different institutions across the state.
We are proud to support this outstanding group of students as they further their education within the state of Alabama,” said Alfa Insurance® President Jimmy Parnell. “It’s important to us as an organization to invest in our young people, and we are happy to do so through the Alfa Foundation Scholarship Program.
Recipients were selected based on academic performance, school and community involvement, honors, work experience, and future goals. To be eligible, students must be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school within Alabama.
Alfa Insurance, founded in 1946, has supported Alabama communities for decades through programs, investments, and donations. The Alfa Foundation continues that mission by promoting education and strengthening local organizations. More information about the scholarship program can be found at AlfaInsurance.com.
