The Janessa Fleming Memorial Fund recently awarded six scholarships.
Receiving scholarships were:
• Elizabeth Diehl, a graduate of Penns Manor High School, who will attend St. Francis University. Her intended major is chemistry pre-medicine.
• Shelby James plans to attend Indiana University of Pa. where she will major in speech therapy with a minor in deaf studies.
• Kiley McIntyre, a graduate of Oakland Catholic High School and a past recipient, is majoring in special education exceptional needs with a minor in American Sign Language at Ball State University.
• Elsie Olwal graduated from the Western PA School for the Deaf. She will attend the Rochester Institute of Technology majoring in computer technology.
• Madison Schrecongost, a recent graduate of Marion Center Area High School, will continue her education in the field of speech-language pathology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
• Sarah Vogel, a graduate of Western PA School for the Deaf, will attend the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her intended major will be architectural and civil drafting technology.
