Miss Gatlinburg, Miss Smoky Mountain Scholarship Competition crowns new titleholders earlier this month.
GATLINBURG – The annual Miss Gatlinburg and Miss Smoky Mountains Scholarship Competition, an official preliminary to the Miss America Organization, was held in Gatlinburg this month, celebrating the achievements, talent, and purpose of outstanding young women from across Tennessee.
Organizers are proud to introduce the remarkable young women who will carry these titles with grace and dedication throughout the coming year.
Reese Morman of Nashville was crowned Miss Gatlinburg, while DeAnna Greer of Mountain City earned the title of Miss Smoky Mountains.
In the Teen division, Emma Light of Greeneville was crowned Miss Gatlinburg’s Teen, Finlee Ozias of Farragut was named Miss Smoky Mountains’ Teen, and Eliza Girton of Greeneville was awarded the title of Miss Sevier County’s Teen.
The evening was further distinguished by the presence of state Sen. Steve Southerland and Gatlinburg Mayor Mike Werner, who presented Miss Tennessee Zoe Scheiderich with a proclamation honoring her accomplishments and service to the state.
These titleholders will now prepare to represent the Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountains region at the Miss Tennessee and Miss Tennessee’s Teen competitions next summer.
Beyond the competition stage, they will engage in community service initiatives, serve as role models for young people, and advocate for causes close to their hearts.
“The Miss America Opportunity is more than a competition — it is a platform for empowering young women through scholarships, leadership, and service,” said Executive Director Sydney Whitice.
“We are confident that Reese, DeAnna, Emma, Finlee, and Eliza will continue that mission and make our region proud.”
The Miss America Organization remains the nation’s largest provider of scholarships for women, awarding millions of dollars annually to support higher education. Locally, the Miss Gatlinburg and Miss Smoky Mountains competition continues this tradition by investing in the next generation of leaders who are committed to making a meaningful difference in their communities.
