Loyal Ladies, an Extension Homemakers club “loyal to providing scholarships to students pursuing a career in nursing,” this year gave its annual scholarships to a National Park College student and a 4-H student who will be attending the college, the club said in a news release.
On April 18, the club presented a nursing scholarship to Addison Bovee at the Nursing & Health Honors Day held at the college. She is currently an LPN student at National Park College.
On April 16, the club presented Faith Lavender, “an outstanding 4-H member,” a scholarship to National Park College, where she will begin her nursing studies in the fall.
Her goal is to become a registered nurse, the release said.
Loyal Ladies raise moneys each year for the nursing scholarships by having a garage sale and this year the sale will be May 3-4 at 104 Somerset Court.
“They are committed to contributing to our community by aiding students in their pursuit in obtaining their nursing degrees,” the release said.
Anyone who is interested in joining one of the seven EHC Clubs can call Alison Crane at 501-623-6841 for more information.
