West Plains, MO – The Shelter Insurance Foundation and the Dave Thomas Shelter Insurance Agency awarded three $1,500 scholarships to Ruby Hinds, Paige Sheridan, and Grant Mahon. All three students will graduate with the 2024 West Plains High School class. The scholarship will be paid directly to their chosen schools.
These three students were selected by a committee of local high school officials, counselors, staff, and community leaders. They were considered through their scholastic achievements, educational goals, citizenship, moral character, and participation and leadership in school and community activities.
Shelter Agent Dave Thomas annually sponsors this scholarship for the West Plains High School Students. The scholarship can be directed to their tuition, fees for campus housing, or any course study leading to any academic degree at any accredited college or university.
In the fall, Grant will attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.
Paige will attend Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri.
Ruby will attend the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri.
